Yard sale fanatics take note; a new business has opened up in town and may be right up your alley.

C&A Retail Buying and Selling opened its doors Feb. 17 in Andalusia.

“We’re like a thrift store, but we don’t have a lot of consignors,” said owner Chris Long. “It’s me and my wife, Annie, and my brother and his wife.”

Long said that if people usually have yard sales, but don’t want to fool with the hassle, they’ll buy it.

“That way they make a little bit of money and we make a little bit of money,” he said. “We have some old, and some new. We don’t specialize in one item.”

On Monday, the selection ranged from a few baby items and whatnots, to kitchen tables and hutches, to used televisions and DVD players.

The store is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and is closed on Sunday.

“We figure the Good Lord above has to have one day a week,” Long said.

The business is located on Stanley Avenue across from Cotton Tractor.
