A Florala man was arrested for indecent exposure, resisting arrest and obstruction after he allegedly fled when caught urinating on the side of the road.
Florala officer Paul Adams said when he stopped to question 48-year-old Ricky Jackson about the incident, which occurred on Sixth Street, Jackson fled.
“It was actually my day off when I saw him,” Adams said. “When I stopped to question him, he ran into some woods.
“Once I caught up with him, he tried to assault me,” he said. “It didn’t work.”
Adams said when a fellow officer arrived on scene, the two men subdued Jackson and placed him under arrest.
Jackson is charged with indecent exposure, assault III, resisting arrest, driving while under the influence, open container, criminal mischief III and obstruction of governmental operations. He is being held in the Covington County Jail without bond.
