A three-vehicle wreck on U.S. 331 in Montgomery County on Thursday claimed the life of one Montgomery woman, and several others were transported to a local hospital, including an Andalusia man.

According to Alabama State Troopers, the crash occurred at 6:17 p.m. at the 82-mile marker about 10 miles south of Montgomery near the Ada community.

A 20-year-old Montgomery woman, Jessica Lee White, was killed when the 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt she was riding in collided with a 1999 F-250 driven by Larry Smith of Andalusia.

After the collision, the Cobalt was struck by a 2010 Volvo tractor-trailer.

The driver of the Cobalt, 21-year-old Davin Carden of Tallassee and passengers Devin Clifton, Michael Glaze and Rachael Bush were injured and transported to Baptist Medical Center South for treatment. Smith was also transported.

Troopers are still investigating the causes of the accident.
