Andalusia’s baseball team dropped four spots to No. 9 in Class 4A in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association poll that was released today.

The Bulldogs didn’t make it to the Southeast Invitational elimination rounds last weekend, after going 1-2 during the first part of the tournament. Andalusia beat Wicksburg, but fell to Dothan and Geneva at the tournament.

AHS sits now at 10-4 on the season, and will visit Headland in area action tomorrow night for a single game. Then, the Bulldogs will host the Rams on Saturday for a doubleheader, if needed.

Opp continues to fight and get wins this season, and found itself at No. 7 in Class 3A.

The Bobcats (8-2) will visit Geneva tomorrow in area action, and will also host a doublheader on Saturday, if needed against the Panthers.

Pleasant Home (5-4) was also nominated for this week’s poll.

In softball, Pleasant Home dropped one spot to No. 10 in Class 1A.

The Lady Eagles are now 8-3 after an 8-6 victory over Luverne on Tuesday night.
