Opp’s Courtney Chatom pitched five shut-out innings and went 3-for-3 at the plate to help lead the Lady Bobcats to a 11-1 win over Straughn on Tuesday night.

Chatom had three strikeouts and no walks.

Laiken Free and Kelly Pierce had three hits and scored two runs each.

Opp scored seven runs in the first two innings.

Kourtnee Bradley pitched 1.0 inning of relief, allowing one run on one hit in the sixth inning.

Opp improves to 11-4 on the season, and will play Red Level tomorrow at 4 p.m. in pool play of the eighth annual Kirsten Dean Memorial Softball Tournament.

In junior varsity action, Straughn beat Opp 5-4.
