RUPERT D. GREENE JR.

Rupert D. Greene Jr., 86, of Florala, died March 21, 2012, after an illness.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tues., March 27, at the First Presbyterian Church in Florala. The family will begin receiving friends one hour prior to the service.

He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jo Ann Martin Greene of Florala; daughters, Wanda Drasheff of Prattville, Anne Rawls of Windemere, Fla., Jennifer Phillips and Dafni Greene, both of Auburn; sisters, Helen Stewart of Lady Lake, Fla., Fannie Clark of Eufaula, Elizabeth Riley of Destin, Fla., and Alice Suitor of Daleville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rupert Dacree Greene Sr. and Fannie McQuagge Greene, and sister, Sue Conaway, all of Troy, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Presbyterian Church or to the charity of one’s choice.

 

JAMES BRADLEY HART

James Bradley Hart, 73, of Baker, Fla., died Thurs., March 22, 2012, at his residence.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., today, Sat., March 24, at Pleasant Home Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Kelley and Judge Ashley McKathan officiating. Interment will follow with Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at the cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Tammey Hart of Baker, Fla.; sons, John Hart of Crestview, Fla., and Tommy (Rebecca) Findley of Baker, Fla.; daughter, Tasha Holmes of Bismarck, N.D.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Shirley Prestwood of Decatur; and a number of nieces and nephews.
