Andy boys, girls win in tennis over Miller

Andalusia’s boys and girls tennis squads defeated T.R. Miller on Monday at the LBWCC courts.
The boys didn’t lose a game and blanked the Tigers 9-0, while the girls edged the Lady Tigers 5-4.
So far this season, the boys have only lost three matches to St. James, UMS-Wright and L.A.M.P.
Andalusia will be back in action tomorrow at home against Houston Academy.

Andalusia’s Alex Evans defeated T.R. Miller’s Jones 8-2 in No. 1 singles; Andalusia’s Christopher Smith defeated T.R. Miller’s Leach 8-1 in No. 2 singles; Andalusia’s David May defeated T.R. Miller’s Edge 8-1 in No. 3 singles; Andalusia’s Jackson Moore defeated T.R. Miller’s Weaver 8-1 in No. 4 singles; Andalusia’s Brandon Scruggs defeated T.R. Miller’s Morris 8-2 in No. 5 singles; and Andalusia’s Jonathan Wiggins defeated T.R. Miller’s Carlson 8-2 in No. 6 singles.
In doubles action, Evans and Smith defeated Jones and Lead 8-2; May and Scruggs defeated Weaver and Edge 9-7; and Moore and Wiggins defeated Morris and Carlson 8-1.

Andalusia’s Jenn Botta defeated T.R. Miller’s Carlson 8-2 in No. 1 singles; Andalusia’s Sarah Atkinson defeated T.R. Miller’s Althauser 8-2 in No. 2 singles; T.R. Miller’s Manning defeated Andalusia’s Anna Beth Bowden 8-2 in No. 3 singles; Andalusia’s Emily Christensen defeated T.R. Miller’s Allan 8-3 in No. 4 singles; T.R. Miller’s Amelia Peach defeated Andalusia’s Mary Katherine Riley 8-2 in No. 5 singles; and Andalusia’s Kennedy Thompson defeated T.R. Miller’s Molly McCoughy 8-4 in No. 6 singles.
In doubles action, Carlson and Althauser defeated Botta and Atkinson 8-6; Bowden and Christensen defeated Manning and Allen 8-2; and Campbell and Peach defeated Riley and Thompson 8-3.
