MELINDA SUE WARD

Melinda Sue Ward of Rose Hill left us on Tues., April 11, 2012, to be with her Heavenly Father at the young age of 49 following a sudden illness at University of Alabama hospital in Birmingham.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., today, Sat., April 14, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Clark Sr. and the Rev. Travis Free officiating and burial following in Oak Grove with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of services.

She was born in Covington County on Jan. 6, 1963. She was a loving wife, a doting mother, an amazing daughter, the sweetest sister, and the best Nana ever. If you ever met her, you know, she never met a stranger and lived her life doing for others. Her heart was bigger than life itself. She loved going to the beach and being with her family. Oh, how her silliness, big mouth, and laughter will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her husband, James Thomas Ward of Rose Hill; sons and daughters-in-law, Jessie Allen Ward, James Lee and Tara Ward, all of Gantt, and Thomas Colton Ward of Rose Hill; father, John Houston Bozeman of Quitman, Ga.; mother, Hazel Ruth Hall Bozeman of Andalusia; brother, Johnny Allen Bozeman of Tallahassee, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Katherine and Donald Allen McJunkins of Slocomb; three grandchildren, Tyler Austin Ward, Tara Renee Ward and Hunter Lee Ward; and two very special young ladies, Vicki Barnes and Shelly Ward. She is also survived by three nephews, Brandon Bozeman, Grey McJunkins and Jason Albritton; one niece, Hope Bozeman; her mother-in-law, Silvia Ward; several brothers- and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends that were all very special to her.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, John Ward; two uncles, Billy Ray Hall and James Larry Hall, and her grandparents.
