The families of Miss Marlana Jo Raines and Mr. Marlin Dela Hanner III are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. Darren Craig Raines of Andalusia and Mrs. Sonja Powell Godwin and the late Mr. Johnny Ray Godwin of Red Level. She is the granddaughter of the late Mrs. Linda Messick Price and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben Raines, all of Greenville, and Mrs. Darlene Ivey Godwin and Mr. AC Godwin, both of Red Level.

She is a 2004 graduate of Red Level High School, and later, Auburn University, where she earned a bachelor of science in business administration in finance. She is currently employed with Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Andalusia.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. Marlin Dela Hanner Jr., of Enterprise and Mrs. Patricia Kay Hanner of Dothan. He is the grandson of the late Mrs. Louise E. Hanner Sr. and Marlin Dela Hanner Sr., of Montoursville, Penn., and the late Mr. Charles Robert Marshall and Mrs. Shirley Marshall of Williamsport, Penn.

He is a 2004 valedictorian of Enterprise High School, and later, graduated from Auburn University, where he earned a bachelor of science in animal sciences. He is currently employed by the City of Gulf Shores Police Department.

An evening wedding ceremony will be held on Sat., April 28, 2012, at 6 p.m. at Springdale with a reception immediately following.
