An Andalusia man has been convicted and now sentenced for defrauding Region’s Bank of nearly $150,000.

William Kevin Clark was indicted in October by a federal grand jury. He later pleaded guilty and admitted to defrauding the bank and receiving monies to which he was not entitled.

Clark was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised probation. He was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $148,452.02 to Regions Bank.

The case arose from an investigation by the United States Secret Service and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Deborah Griffin.
