Pilots say thanks for help

On behalf of the Luncheon Pilot Club of Andalusia, I would like to thank everyone who helped to make our annual Square Picnic a success.

The overcast skies did not dampen anyone’s enthusiasm, and we were grateful that it didn’t rain.

A big “thank you” goes to the individuals, groups, organizations and businesses for purchasing tickets and joining us on the square, as well as those who made monetary contributions and donated food items.

The square set-up was once again provided by the Department of Leisure Services. Thank you, gentlemen, for the tents, tables and coolers filled with ice. Your assistance is very valuable and we sincerely appreciate everything you did.

We have had so many positive responses for our entertainment. The Carroll Williams band delighted everyone with their toe-tapping country and rock-n-roll music. A big “thank you” goes to the band for giving of their time and talents.

The media coverage on the picnic was excellent. Thank you for the outstanding publicity before, during and after the picnic.

With the help of all of you, our friends, we exceeded the goal of this fundraiser. The money will be used to help local charitable organizations, club projects and Pilot International whose focus is on brain related disorders.

Again, thank you to all who helped to make the 2012 Square Picnic a successful and fun event.
