Wanda Gail Turner

Mrs. Wanda Gail Turner, 66, of Florala died Thurs., May 3, 2012, in a Dothan hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Mon., May 7, 2012, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with the family leading the service. Interment will follow at North Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Turner is survived by her husband, John Turner of Florala; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle (Duane) O’Neal of Andalusia, Lisa (Steve) Price of Crestview, Fla., Connie Mauer of Roberta, Ga.; sons and daughter-in-law, Jonathon Turner of Pensacola, Fla., Jason (Amy) Turner of Pace, Fla., and Kenny Mauer of Florala; and his brother, Randy (Ann) Wright of Andalusia.

Pallbearers will be Jason Turner, Jonathon Turner, Tyler Mauer, Jerry Turner, Steve Price, and Blayne Pruett.

Visitation will be after 5:30 p.m. Sun., May 6, 2012, at Foreman’s.

HAROLD ‘BOBBY’ DAVIS

Harold “Bobby” Davis , 73, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., May 1, 2012, in a local hospital.

A graveside memorial service and internment with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. today, Sat., May 5, at Sweetwater Cemetery in Fleeta with the Rev. Tim Patton officiating and Keahey Funeral Home directing.

A reception will follow at the Davis home located at 612 Church St., Andalusia.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Zorn Davis of Andalusia; son, Dewey (Sue) Davis of Oceanside, Calif.; daughter, Gwendolyn (Greg) Jourgensen of Cheyenne, Wyo.; stepsons, Patrick (Cheryl) Zorn of Defuniak Springs, Fla., Monte Zorn of Samson and Jamey (Mary B.) Zorn of Greenville; a brother, Jerry Davis of Babbie; and his grandchildren, Kendell, Keyton, Zach, Kasey, Kristen, Reid, Trevor, Sam, Elli, Issac, Isiah, Eli, and Abram; and four great-grandchildren.

MYRTICE BURKE BLACKWELL

Myrtice Burke Blackwell, 89, of Opp, died Thurs., May 3, 2012, in the Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, Sat., May 5, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Ganus officiating and burial following in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be at Foreman Funeral Home beginning at 9 a.m.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Bertha Jackson Fegaro (Ervin) of Opp, and Wanda Fay Estes of San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Watson.
