Children in Opp and the surrounding area looking to boost their creative spirits may be interested in the summer arts programs at the Opp Cultural Arts Center.

“Students will use many different techniques during the week and can expect to have lots of fun,” said OCAC workshop chair Jan Breedlove.

The summer session will be held June 25 through June 29.

There will be two classes and a potential third during the week.

A class for children ages 4 through 7 will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. daily. Cost is $75 for the week.

A separate class for children ages 8 through 12 will meet from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Cost is $100.

To ensure individual attention, the class size will be limited to 10 for the younger group, and 15 for the older group, organizers said.

Breedlove also said a workshop for students over age 12 is a possibility if there is sufficient interest.

To register children for the camps or express interest in the 12 and older class, contact Breedlove at 493-3649, Martha Chisum at 493-3811 or ocac@oppcatv.com.

Deadline to sign up is June 1.
