Andalusia football coach Brian Seymore said despite the small amount of time the Bulldogs had for spring training, the team still got some work done.

“There’s so much you can do in 10 days,” Seymore said. “You want to make sure your starters come in and get some reps, and also your junior varsity to let the young kids get reps.

“It was a good 10 days,” he said.

Seymore said he was happy with how his defense practiced during the spring, especially on the line.

“I was very happy with my defensive front seven,” he said.

Additionally, Seymore said the skill players got in some good repetition, and his biggest concern is the offensive line, which the Bulldogs will be young in on the coming season.

Andalusia will face Washington County tonight at 6 at Bulldogs Stadium. The JV will play the first quarter, and the varsity will play the last three.

Summer workouts for the Bulldogs begin June 11 because of the Aug. 20 school start this year.

Players will visit the gym three days per week, and will have the week of July 4 off.
