A sixth grader from Red Level High School was seriously injured and airlifted following a Wednesday evening 4-wheeler accident.
Arlin Kondrat’yev, an honor student, suffered serious facial injures when the four-wheeler he was riding flipped and landed on his face.
Law enforcement did not respond to the scene; however, family and friends reported Kondrat’yev was first airlifted from Andalusia Regional Hospital to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., shortly after 10:30 p.m. On Thursday, just after lunch, he was again airlifted – this time to a Birmingham hospital for treatment.
Family members report they expect him to make a full recovery; however, he will have to undergo plastic surgery.
