Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Edson of Andalusia are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Heather Ashley Edson, to Mitchell Thomas Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Grantham of Andalusia and Mr. Michael Myers of Greenville, S.C.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Shiver of Andalusia. She is also the granddaughter of Mr. Wallace Edson of Andalusia and Ms. Brenda Edson of Deerfield Beach, Fla.

She is a 2009 graduate of Straughn High School and will graduate in December 2012 from the University of Alabama with a bachelor of arts in communicative disorders and a minor in human development.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Copeland of Jasper. He is also the grandson of Mrs. Doris Myers and the late Mr. Howard Myers of Jasper and Mrs. Betty Grantham and the late Mr. Cy Grantham of Red Level.

He is a 2008 graduate of Straughn High School and will graduate in December 2012 from the University of Alabama with a bachelor of science in general health studies and a minor in biology.

The couple will be married on June 2, 2012, in Andalusia.
