The Opp Board of Education took the following personnel action at its Tuesday board meeting:

• appointed Opp Elementary School reading coach Sharon Spurlin to the director of student support services;

• granted tenure to Tanner Jackson, English teacher at Opp Midlde School and Tim Grimes, PE teacher at OMS;

• Non-renewed contracted for William Ossenfort, science teacher at Opp High School and Kevin Kelley, special education aide;

• accepted resignation from Andrew Carter, science teacher at OMS;

• granted a request for family and medical leave to Leslie Norris;

• approved a supplement contract for Zach Spann, assistant baseball coach.
