The Wiregrass Cardinals beat Covington County 8-6 in the first game of the 15th annual Church’s Chicken Memorial Day Tournament on Friday night at the Opp Sportsplex.
The 16-to-17-year-old county team tied the game 5-5 in the top of the fourth inning with two outs.
