Titans beat Bulldogs 13-12 in closer

The Titans edged the Bulldogs 13-12 in 11-to-12-year-old Babe Ruth softball action Tuesday night at Johnson Park.

In the last regular season game for both teams, the contest went back and forth in the first inning, where the Titans scored eight and the Bulldogs scored nine.

However, the Titans added four runs in the second and one run in the third to take the win.

The Bulldogs cored three runs in the third inning to keep the Titans honest.

For the Titans, Millie Manring went 3-for-3 with two singles, a double and an RBI; and Jaylyn Martin went 2-for-3 with two singles.

The Bulldogs got on base 15 times through walks

Noah Gooden, Adam Kilpatrick and Elijah McClain scored two runs each for the Dodgers in a 13-12 loss to the Reds.

For the Reds, Caleb, Austin and Noah scored two runs each; and Aydon scored three runs.

The Reds scored five runs in the first inning, three runs each in the second and third innings and two runs in the fourth inning.

The Dodgers scored one run each in the first and second innings, four runs in the third inning and six runs in the fourth inning.
