Cooper Pierce, 2, of Kinston, passed away Tues., May 29, 2012, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

Funeral services will be held today, Fri., June 1, at 10 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Opp. Visitation will be at the church 30 minutes prior to services. Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel in Opp is directing.

 

THE REV. EARNEST JAMES READY

The Rev. Earnest James Ready, 83, of Andalusia, passed away at his residence on Tues., May 29, 2012.

Funeral services will be held today, Fri., June 1, at 7:30 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joel Calhoun officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 6 p.m. Burial will follow Monday in Auburndale, Fla.

The Rev. Ready served numerous Assembly of God Churches throughout his ministry, including Red Level, Cowarts, Glenwood and Gadsden.

He is survived by his wife, Nell Ready of Andalusia; his daughter, LaDotha (Bob) Bishop of Lakeland, Fla.; his brother, the Rev. Billy Ray (Rachael) Ready of Auburndale, Fla.; his sisters, Doris Meadows and Elizabeth Register of Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Werneth and Terry (Jennifer) Davis; and great-grandchildren, Luke, Leah and Laney Werneth and Katlyn and Kylie Davis.

Funeral services for Gloria Barber Ayres will be held Sat., June 2, 2012, at 2 p.m., at the New Pilgrim Baptist Church in River Falls. Visitation will be at the church tonight from 5 to 7.
