The 17th annual Alligator Trot 5K road race and walk will take place on Sat., June 23, at Florala State Park.

The trot is the only 5K running in two states — Alabama and Florida — in two states in conjunction with the 142nd Masonic Celebration.

The race will begin at 8 a.m., and race packet pick up starts at 6:30 a.m. the day of the race.

Interested runners need to register as runners, and walkers need to register as walkers in the race.

The run begins in Alabama, at the intersection of third avenue and third street, and runners proceed around beautiful Lake Jackson into Florida and back into Alabama, finishing at 23089 Lake Shore Blvd.

Pre-registration entry fee is $15, and race day registration is $20.
