Volleyball players from Andalusia’s high school and middle school is in the midst of a three-day camp at AHS.

Athletes from Middle Tennessee State University, who have instructed at the camp for several years, were teaching the aspiring players about fundamentals.

“They are probably one of the best camps you can get in the state,” AHS coach Angie Grimes said about the MTSU camp. “They always do a great job.”

Grimes said the girls are learning and honing their skills on passing, serving, spiking, setting and other skills.

The camp will run through tomorrow.

The girls will participate in the camp from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. today with a break.

Grimes said this is a good pre-cursor for the teams’ summer training program, leading up to the fall.
