The more than 7 inches of rain received in May helped the county surpass rainfall totals from this time last year.

A report released Tuesday from the Choctawhatchee, Pea and Yellow Rivers Watershed Management Authority, which gathers rainfall data from the Yellow River, shows that the county has received 21.60 inches of rain this year – a 7-inch increase from last year’s 14.6-inch total.

Today there is a 30 percent chance of rain and a forecasted high of 92 degrees.
