2 teens arrested in burglary case

Two teenagers are behind bars after they allegedly robbed the store clerk at the Opp Exxon Tuesday morning.

Opp Police Department investigator Lt. Mark Kyser said he received information concerning the identities of the two individuals involved in the robbery, around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

OPD officers located Henry Robert Finedore IV, 18, of Elba, and Zyki Dayonta Wade, 19, of Opp, and after conducting interviews, arrested the duo on charges of robbery I and assault III.

They were booked into the Covington County Jail on $275,000 bonds each.

The incident occurred shortly before 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, when officers were called to the scene after a clerk was robbed.

According to police reports, the clerk said shortly before he was robbed a white and black male purchased gas, and then the white male returned on foot and forcibly robbed the attendant by striking him in the head with a weapon.

They stole a cash register and an undisclosed amount of cash.
