LONZIE GAINES

Lonzie Gaines, 82, of Andalusia, passed away Thurs., July 5, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., today, Tues, July 10, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Knowles officiating. Music will be provided by Darby Knowles. Burial will follow in Stone Lake Gardens with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Gaines; son, Don Gaines, both of Andalusia; daughters, Linda Gaines of Angola, N.Y., and Sally Gaines (Kirk Gromoll) of Andalusia; special friend, Richard Ayers Sr.; grandchildren, Alan (Becky) Leddon, James (Tonya) Leddon, Robert (Kerry) Leddon, Richard (Milinda) Ayers, Angelia Draycott and Amanda Ayers; and numerous great grandchildren.

 

MAX RAY CREECH

Max Ray Creech, 77, of Red Level, died Sun., July 8, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wed., July 12, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Benji Jordan officiating and burial following in Buck Creek Cemetery.

Visitation is tonight from 6 to 8 at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his daughter, Terri Frost of Red Level; his grandchildren, Tami Lawrence, Brandi (Shannon) Hall, Michelle Frost and Victoria Frost, all of Andalusia; five great-grandchildren; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine Spicer of Orlando, Fla., Linda Peavy, Barbara Ann and Cecil Sanders, all of Samson, and Diane and Dennis Allen of Daingerfield, Texas; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Ewell and Carol Creech of Groveland, Fla., Roland and Jane Creech of Enterprise, Jerry and Lila Creech of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Ted and Barbara Creech of Arab and Larry and Vickie Creech of Orlando, Fla.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Alma Lula Creech; a daughter, Donna Kay Hardage; one brother, O’Neal Creech; his sister, Melba Lolley; and parents, A. D. and Mildred Creech.

Pallbearers will be Mathew Creech, Pat Henderson, Andy Crews, Chad Crews, Tracy Sanders and David Kouvelos.

ANTHONY WAYNE MEEKS

Anthony Wayne Meeks, 55, of Red Level, died Thurs., July 5, 2012, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his daughter, Blair Meeks of Weaverville, N.C; a brother, James Allen Meeks of Jacksonville, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Judge A. and Ollie V. Meeks; a sister, Alma Lula Creech; and a brother, Nathaniel Meeks.

RONA EDSON

Rona Edson, 40, of Red Level passed away on Tues., July 3, 2012, in a Florida hospital.

Funeral services were held on Sun., July 8, at 2 p.m., from the Foreman Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Parker, the Rev. Derwood Cleland and the Rev. Richard Moss officiating. Interment followed in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Clay Anthony Stacks; her daughter, Cayleigh Michelle Stacks; her parents, Ronnie and Ruth Edson; her brother and sister-in-law, Randy L. and Ashley Edson; her sister, Robin K. Anderson, all of Red Level; two nephews, Ethan Edson and Mason Anderson; two nieces, Emily Edson and Emma Grace Anderson; and a special friend, Mark Saxon of Mobile.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Stacks.

Pallbearers were Jeff Jeter, Chuck Jeter, Monty Jeter, Paul Jeter, Donnie Jeter and Dewayne Jeter.

Honorary pallbearers were Alex Phillips, Sabin Shreve, Catee Moss and Mike Rowell.
