Hit-a-thon winners announced

Award winners were announced recently for the Batting for a Miracle: Miracle League Hit-a-Thon that was held June 30 at Johnson Park.

Awards were given to those who raised the most money for the Miracle League, and those who had the longest hit at the fundraiser.

Raising the most money and winning a trip to see the Montgomery Biscuits are 6-and-under participant T.J. Watson, $310 raised; 8-and-under participant Jack Day, $810 raised; 12-and-under participants Jake Barefoot, $541 raised; and Brooke Mancil, $168 raised.

For the longest hit, awards went to 6-and-under participant Trevin Garner at 132 feet; 8-and-under participant Tucker Glenn at 160 feet; 12-and-under participants Garrett Davis at 220 feet; and tied at 180 feet, Maisy Garner and Mancil.
