The dunking tank is primed and ready to go Friday and Saturday as local dignitaries suit up to benefit the Covington County Miracle League.

The fundraiser is being held as part of the Covington County Sportsman Expo, and monies raised will go toward the construction of the Miracle Field and adjacent playground. Cost is $1 per throw or six throws for $5.

Each shift lasts one hour, and up for Friday are:

• Noon: Matt Kennedy

• 1 p.m.: Debbie Marcum

• 2 p.m.: Mike Hayden

• 3 p.m.: Paul Dean

• 4 p.m.: Chief Wilbur Williams

• 5 p.m.: Capt. Mike Bowlan

On Saturday, things may get interesting as Andalusia mayoral candidates line up back to back. The schedule is as follows:

• 11 a.m.: Trent Taylor

• Noon: Blaine Wilson

• 1 p.m.: Mayor Earl Johnson

• 2 p.m.: Dwight Mikel

• 3 p.m.: Patty Ashworth

• 4 p.m.: District Attorney Walt Merrell
