Katrina Frye has announced her bid for Red Level Town Council, place 4, in the Aug. 28 municipal elections.

Frye served 14 years as chief clerk of the Covington County probate office, retiring in 2003.

“With that job, I learned a lot about people and also about operating government responsibly,” she said.

Frye said she believes she can help revitalize Red Level.

“There are a lot of things that can be done. We just all have to work together to accomplish these things,” she said. “Together, we can move Red Level forward so that it will be a place that we can all be proud to claim as our home.”

Frye is a 1957 graduate of Red Level High School. She left the community for college, and returned in 1979. Her sons, Randall and Kenneth Frye, also graduated from RLHS.

She has five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
