The Covington County Democratic Party will host state school board district 1 candidate Herdon Inge II on Fri., Aug. 3.
Party officials said in May that Inge, a Mobile attorney, replaced fellow Mobile attorney Cecil Gardner, who ended his campaign in March. The 62-year-old Inge is a product of Mobile County’s public schools and is a former deputy district attorney and special assistant attorney general.
He faces Republican nominee Tracy Roberts of Spanish Fort in the general election in November.
Local party chairman Billy Hughes said the local meeting will be held at 6 p.m., at the FOP Lodge in Gantt.
