Alabama Public Television’s chief operation officer, Charles Grantham of Andalusia, resigned this week.

Grantham recently wrote a letter to Gov. Robert Bentley that was published in this newspaper and others across the state in which he expressed concerns about recent actions taken by the APT Commission.

In a letter to the APT’s interim director and published by Birmingham media Wednesday, said a commission member had threatened his future with APT, and the work environment has become too stressful.

“Some employees have even attended counseling due to the additional stressful work environment created by actions of the Commission,” he wrote.
