DAN CONSTABLE

Dan Constable, 60, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., July 31, 2012, at his daughter’s residence.

A memorial service will be held today, Fri., Aug. 3, at 6:30 p.m., at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with military honors and the Rev. Derwood Cleland officiating. Special music will be provided by his grandson, Nate Mack, and friend, Quade Sewell.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Chad Morris of Andalusia, Danyel and Matt McGuire of Ft. Bragg, N.C., Karmen Fredricks of Coco Beach, Fla., and Amy and Wes Clark of Spana Way, Wash.; brother, Dave (Kathie) Constable of Ridge Crest, Calif.; sister, Jane (Phillip) Wise, Harris, Mo.; and grandchildren, Austin Clark, Nate Mack, Travis Mack, Tori Mack, Lucien Benvenutti, Stacy Gill, Ellis Fredricks and Eric Tyler.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Mac Constable, and his parents, Richard and Nancy Comer Constable.

RAY BOZEMAN

Ray Bozeman, 91, of Andalusia, died Wed., Aug. 1, 2012, in a local nursing facility. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Sat., Aug. 4, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Cindy Howard officiating and interment following at Dozier Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Foreman’s Funeral Home two hours prior to the service.

After graduating from Dozier High School as valedictorian, he attended Auburn University where he was a member of the Blue Key Honor Society, Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, and in his senior year, he was president of the Class of 1943. He then entered the Army as a first lieutenant serving as a forward observer for the 59th Field Artillery Unit in World War II and Korea. He later served as clerk of the court for Covington County for 24 years, retiring in 1989.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Grace Stowers Bozeman.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Candy and Campbell Kyle; son, Craig Bozeman, all of Andalusia, grandchildren, Kim (Brian) Johnson, Jill (Jeremy) Jackson, Brooke Bozeman and Lexie Bozeman; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dr. Jeannine Bozeman of Covington, La.; brother-in-law, Phil Stowers of Chino Valley, Ariz.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Terry Kyzar, George Barnes, Johnny Duggan, Rhett Johnson, Phil Sport, Jon Weed and Earl Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlotte Smith and employees of Covington County Circuit Clerks Office.
