A Paxton, Fla., woman, whose 8-month-old drowned in a tub of running water after allegedly being left alone while the mother “chatted” online, is now facing a negligent manslaughter charge.

Walton County, Fla., Sheriff Michael A. Adkinson Jr. said Brandy Lee Tucker, 31, was arrested Sunday after it was revealed that she left the baby unattended while she chatted on a social network site for a period exceeding 10 minutes. Tucker’s negligent actions resulted in the infant’s death on Aug. 19, Adkinson said.

Tucker was booked into the Walton County Department of Corrections and held on an unknown bond.
