River Falls residents wishing to bring garbage to the Allied Waste transfer station should be prepared to pay.

Rory Cassedy, the company’s municipal services manager, said, “Residents can dispose of household non-hazardous solid waste at the transfer station, however there is a fee. The rates are $46.50 per ton with a two-ton minimum, plus fuel and environmental fees and payment can be made by credit or debit card.”

Meaning, it will cost $93 for the two-ton minimum, he said.

Cassedy said town officials and the Covington County Commission are working on a provision that would allow the residents to be serviced under the county’s franchise.
