Auburn senior women’s basketball player Blanche Alverson, a native of Andalusia, was selected to the Top-5 for Auburn’s Miss Homecoming Thursday night.

The selection, which comes after two rounds of interviews, guarantees her a place on the court and a shot at becoming queen.

Campaigning begins Oct. 29 with the election on Nov. 2.

Results will be announced during Auburn’s Homecoming Game against New Mexico State on Nov. 3.
