After its 35-15 loss to then No. 7 Thomasville, Andalusia was voted off of this week’s Alabama Sports Writers Association football poll, which was released today.
The Bulldogs couldn’t match up with the Tigers as they trailed 21-0 at half time. In the first half alone, AHS had only 50 yards of offense with its longest drive at 36 yards.
Andalusia hosts rival Opp this week and Bulldogs head coach Brian Seymore said Friday night’s game is just another opportunity to improve on the mistakes that were made last week.
“I’m looking forward to seeing how our kids respond this week,” Seymore said. “I don’t think we played well on either side of the ball last Friday night. I think we let a good opportunity go to pass.”
Thomasville moved up to No. 6 this week.
