The City of Andalusia is working with CDG Engineering to pursue ATRIP funding with which to improve South Three Notch Street.

The Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program (ATRIP) is a state program designed to stimulate the economy by improving roads and bridges.

Tim Ramsden of CDG addressed the council Tuesday to discuss the possibilities making improvements to the street like those done on East Three Notch and most recently River Falls Street.

During this summer’s municipal elections, Mayor Earl Johnson and members of the council, all of whom were reelected, identified improvements to South Three Notch as a major goal for the next quadrennial, which begins in November.
