DAUDREY BOWMAN GIDDENS

DAudrey Bowman Giddens, 93, of Panama City, Fla., formerly of Andalusia, died Thurs., Oct. 18, 2012, in Panama City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., today, Tues., Oct. 23, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. John Hunt officiating and interment following at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Gilbert Giddens Sr.; a son, Horace Gilbert (Junior) Giddens Jr.; and two sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Merle Giddens Johnson of Panama City, Fla.; grandchild, Mark A. (Karen) Johnson of Fairfax, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Andrew Johnson and Clay Johnson; a sister, Edna Bowman (Ronald) Wright of Pensacola, Fla.; and a large number of extended family.

 

FOYL CHAPMAN HUDGENS

Foyl Chapman Hudgens, 91, of Opp, died Mon., Oct. 22, 2012, in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wed., Oct. 24, from Wyatt Funeral Home with military graveside honors to follow in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Wayne Sharpe and Randy Breedlove will be officiating with Wyatt Funeral Home directing.

The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.

He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn W. Warren; brother and sister-in-law, John and

Kathryn Hudgens; and sister, Zipporah Mooney. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sara Ellen Hudgens.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

ROY M.WINDHAM

Roy M. Windham, 88, of Andalusia, died Sun., Oct. 21, 2012, at the Andalusia Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wed., Oct. 24, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Harrell Cushing officiating and interment following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Special music will be by Don Lingle and Martha Givhan. Visitation will be at Foreman Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in England in the Eighth Air Force. He retired as postmaster of Andalusia; was a member of First Baptist Church and was active in civic and community affairs. He was a Mason and a member of Andalusia Lodge 434.

He is survived by his sons and their wives, Michael G. and Becky Windham of Montgomery and Alan R. and Kathy Windham of Andalusia; grandchildren, Gray (Stephanie) Windham, Elise Windham and Emily (Ryan) Bindert.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor S. Windham; parents, Thomas Guy and Nellie Rushton Windham; sisters, Doris Windham Tucker and Nell Windham George; and brothers, Rushton G. Windham, Thomas Gerald Windham and Harold G. Windham.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that remembrances be made to First Baptist Church, or to the charity of one’s choice.

 

MIRIAM FLORENCE NIX

Miriam Florence Nix, 90, of Andalusia, died Sat., Oct. 20, 2012, in the Andalusia Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wed., Oct. 24, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Stewart officiating and interment following in Peaceful Acres Cemetery in Opp. Visitation will be at Foreman Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Marian Nix of Conroe, Texas, and David Nix of Douglasville, Ga.; a daughter-in-law, Joan Nix Gutierrez of Tampa, Fla.; her grandchildren, Charles Nix II, of Destin, Fla., Christopher Nix of Houston, Texas, Stephen Nix of Holiday, Fla., Jeff Nix and Audra Panarelli, both of Tampa, Fla., Tambry Nix Jewel of Andalusia, and Taylor Nix, Matt Nix and Makayla Nix of Douglasville, Ga.; and 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Thomas Nix, and son, Roy Carl Nix.

Euna Kelley Faulkner, 96, of Andalusia, died Mon., Oct. 22, 2012, at her residence.

MARTHA ANN KIMBRO RODGERS

Martha Ann Kimbro Rodgers, 74, of Dozier, died Thurs., Oct. 18, 2012, at her residence.

Funeral services were held Sat., Oct. 20, from the Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.O. Sanders officiating and interment following in the Goodhope Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Larry Harold of Andalusia; five grandchildren and their spouses, Daniel and Danielle Rodgers, Amy and Michael Kallas, Kelly and Zach Hammett, Chris and Beth Harold and Carrie and Landon Ashley; three great-grandchildren, Isaac Rodges, Steven Kallas and Julia Harold; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rachel and Joe Riley of Andalusia and Barbara and Don Ganus of Waycross, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Rodgers, and her son, Terry Rodgers.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Sport, Jody Lasiter, Zach Hammett, Michael Kallas, Roy Kimbro Jr. and Keith Rodgers.
