The severe weather that swept its way through Covington County Thursday morning left little damage in its wake.
County emergency management agency director Susan Harris said while no damage was reported to EMA, a tree downed a power line on Ala. Hwy. 55 South.
The storms did, however, cause a bit of issues in other areas. Whipping winds brought rain, and a tornado was spotted near the Red Oak Community around 10 a.m.
As a precautionary measure, the second, third, fourth and fifth grade Christmas music performances at Andalusia Elementary School were cancelled; however, W.S. Harlan’s Christmas program went on as scheduled.
