The Christmas Day weather that spawned tornadoes in two parts of the county left little damage in its wake.
Susan Harris, county emergency director, said rotations were spotted in the most northern part of the county and also in the southern portion near Florala.
She said the cells didn’t touch down, but did cause some power outages.
She said the event ended with a few downed trees, but no structural damage.
However, other areas of the state were not so lucky.
In Crenshaw County, area residents believe a twister is responsible for damaging at least 10 homes.
Eyewitnesses said it was a tornado that touched down; however, weather officials have yet to confirm it.
Tornadoes also did extensive damage in areas in and around Mobile, Troy and Demopolis.
