MAMIE HALL MORRIS
Mamie Hall Morris, 93, of Red Level, went to be with her Lord on Sun., Dec. 23, 2012, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., today, Thurs., Dec. 27, at South Church of God with the Rev. Michael Bush, the Rev. Carl Turman, the Rev. Larry Turman and the Rev. Joey Turman officiating. Music will be provided by the Turman and Bush families. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Morris of Red Level and Charles R. (Peggie) Morris of Brewton; daughters, Bessie Williamson, Carrie Williamson and Bobbie (Carl) Turman, all of Red Level; one sister, Mattie Watson of Andalusia; a brother, Roy (Vera) Hall of Florala; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Morris; daughters, Nell Morris and Kennie Williamson; and granddaughter, Penny Shivers.
JOHN LEWIS SOWELL
John Lewis Sowell, 86, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., Dec. 23, 2012.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that was loved by all. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held today, Thurs., Dec. 27, at 3 p.m., with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Madge Tucker Sowell; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Linda Sowell of Opp and Ricky and Sue Sowell of Andalusia; grandchildren, Jeffery and Karen Sowell of Andalusia, Aimee Cooley of Andalusia, Shannon and Karen Roos of Ferndale, Mich., Justin Roos and Camero King of Andalusia and David Adam Sowell of Malaysia; great-grandchildren, Belle Cooley, Kayla and Elizabeth Mitchell, Cameron Roos and Hunter Butts, all of Andalusia; brother, Morgan Chatman Sowell of Phenix City; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
VERA R. WALKER
Vera R. Walker, 75, of Red Level, passed away Mon., Dec. 24, 2012, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Fri., Dec. 28, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jeffrey Walker and Brother Eartis Lee officiating and interment following in Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be tonight night from 6-8 at Foreman Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Gilmer “Boots” Walker; her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Charlie Chance; a son, Kenneth Walker; two sisters and brother-in-law, Martha Posey, all of Red Level, and Era and Dennis Barrentine of Dunellon, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sanford and Dolly Elizabeth Rowell; two grandchildren, Andrew and Amber Straughn; a brother, Woodrow Rowell; and sisters, Roselle Henderson and Ella Harrelson.

Mary Jo Veasey, 55, of Gantt, passed away Tues., Dec. 25, 2012, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., today, Thurs., Dec. 27, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Canant officiating and interment following in Veasey Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughters, Tina Hammonds of Gantt and Tonya Ziglar of Opp; her grandchildren, Clay Ziglar, Erika Ziglar, Jessica Phillips and Austin Griggs; her great-grandchildren, Demarka Crittenden, Zoie Ziglar, Nyasia Crittenden and Dashawn Hall, Quantavis Phillips; her mother, Annie Earl Veasey of Gantt; and her sister, Pat Owens of Dozie.
Pallbearers will be Clay Ziglar, Ronnie Williams, Johnathan Williams, James Mose, Gary Cannon and Ricky Byrd.

Mr. Collise Killingsworth, 85, of Andalusia, died Tues., Dec. 25, 2012, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Fri., Dec. 28, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:30 p.m. tonight at Foreman’s.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Carlton (Debra) Killingsworth of Andalusia; a daughter and son-in-law, Martha (Ray) Fines of DeQueen, Ark.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Cothan (June) Killingsworth of Andalusia; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Inez Simpler of Opp, Dorothy Etheridge and Sherrill (Eddie) Edson both of Andalusia.
Pallbearers will be Richard Cook, Jason Killingsworth, Michael Killingsworth, David Norris, Sonny Thomasson and Bill Gallaway.
