Andalusia falls at Monroe Co.

Monroe County’s girls edged Andalusia 44-41 in area action on Tuesday night.

The Lady Bulldogs were led by Laticia Crittenden with 13 points; Kanisha Johnson added 10 points; Tylesha Malcolm had seven points and nine rebounds; Shandricka Thompkins had seven rebounds and four blocks in the effort.

In boys action, the varsity squad fell 77-47 to MCHS.

Jalen Cross led AHS with 13 points. Devante Jackson and Phillip James had 12 points each.

Monroe County’s Niles Davis had 17 points to lead his team.

AHS’s boys and girls fall to 0-3 in Class 4A, Area 2.

The Bulldogs will host Hillcrest-Evergreen in area action on Friday.
