Local man charged with capital murder

An Andalusia man charged in the capital murder of a Montgomery man on New Year’s Day is now being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Facility, al.com reported Friday.
Ricky Padgett, 36, of Bozeman Trail Road, Andal-usia, was booked into the jail on Jan. 16 after being apprehended in Anda-lusia on New Year’s Day in connection with the stabbing death of Danny Stroud, 21, in the commission of a burglary.
Padgett and his two co-conspirators, Amanda Stroud, 24, and Tari Snell, 19, are all being held without bond. Amanda Stroud and Snell were taken into custody on Jan. 1.
Their preliminary hearing on the charges is set for Feb. 7 in Montgomery County Circuit Court.
