Irene C. Wise, 76, of Andalusia, passed away Wed., Jan. 30, 2013, in the Andalusia hospital.

SHELIA DIANE GUNTER

Shelia Diane Gunter, 58, of Andalusia, passed away Wed., Jan. 30, 2013, in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 1, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Ganus officiating and burial following in Carolina Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include her husband, Buddy Gunter of Andalusia; father, Hilary Mathews of Rose Hill; stepson, Kevin (Shelia) Gunter; daughter, Danielle Gunter; stepdaughter, Cathy Ann Reeves; brothers, Hilary (Tonya) Mathews III, all of Andalusia, and Emmett Mathews; sisters, Jyneese Mathews, both of Rose Hill, and Hilda Philyaw of Alabaster; and two step-grandchildren.

HILLARY ‘JUNIOR’ BENJAMIN HESTER JR.

Hillary “Junior” Benjamin Hester Jr., 76, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., Jan. 29, 2013, in a Montgomery hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Fri., Feb. 1, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Boles officiating and interment following in Pigeon Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his daughter, Diane Hester of River Falls; his granddaughter and her husband, Heather and Ashley Cravey of Florala; his great-grandchildren, Samantha Lawson, Olivia Cravey and Riley Cravey; a sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Ray Castleberry; his brother and sister-in-law, Davis and Ruth Hester; and several nieces and nephews that he loved very much.

He is preceded in death by his grandson, Benjamin Tyler Lawson; his parents, Hillary and Ida Hester Sr.; three brothers, Greal Hester, James Hester, Gene Hester; and sister, Nell Stuart.

Pallbearers will be Paul Stuart, Tommy Lawson, Keith Thompson, Ashley Cravey, Sonny Cravey and Tony Cofield.

ALLIE L. GIBBONS FINDLEY

Allie L. Gibbons Findley, 91, of Speedway, Ind., and formerly of Andalusia, passed away Jan. 28, 2013, the eve of her 92nd birthday.

Funeral services will be held on Fri., Feb. 1, at 3 p.m., Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg, Ind., with burial following in at West Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the mortuary one hour prior to the service.

Born in Covington County in 1921, she lived here until three years ago before moving to Indiana to live near her family. She dedicated many hours volunteering in both her church and her community, even serving for more than 25 years as a missionary in Venezuela, South America.

She was preceded in death by husband, Curtis Findley.

Survivors include her son, Fred (Barbara) Findley; sister, Nola Colvin; two grandchildren, Brian (Jody) and Melanie; and four great-grandchildren, Amanda, Brianna, Alaina and Carter.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to American Heart Association.
