DONNA GAYLORD
Donna Gaylord, 90, of Red Level, passed away on Sun., Feb. 3, 2013, in the Andalusia hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., today, Tues., Feb. 5, at Pigeon Creek Baptist Church with Keahey Funeral Home directing and the Rev. Brent Cook and the Rev. Gary Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in the Kervin Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Pigeon Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her brother, Madison Doss Kervin of Grand Bay; sister-in-law, Olene Odom of Andalusia; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude O. Gaylord.

ALIVE T. AINSWORTH
Alive T. Ainsworth, 73, of Andalusia, died on Sun., Feb. 3, 2013, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Wed., Feb. 6, at the First United Pentecostal Church in Andalusia with the Rev. Chester Watson officiating and interment following in Stone Lake Gardens with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at Keahey Funeral Home tonight from 6 to 8.
Survivors include his wife, Mickey Ainsworth of Andalusia; two sons and daughter-in-law, Alvie Christopher (Jessica Marie) Ainsworth of Loango and Joshua Lane Ainsworth of Andalusia; three daughters, Wanda (Wayne) Worrells of Andalusia, Melinda Ainsworth Guy Gafford of Honoraville and Bernice (Jerry) Haskew of Andalusia; four sisters, Cloree (Paul) Neal and Glinda Oikle, both of Andalusia, Joyce (Harry) Kinsey of Montgomery and Betty Ann Ainsworth, also of Andalusia; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvie Lane Ainsworth; mothers, Mary Ainsworth and Annie Mae Ainsworth; sister, Ida Mae Scott; and brother, Arnold Hillard.
Pallbearers will be George Ainsworth, Aaron Lambert, Jerry Haskew, Michael Worrells, Jessie Barbarow and Richard Barbarow.

Betty Gunter Jackson, 78, of Andalusia, passed away on Fri., Feb. 1, 2013, in the Andalusia hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Mon., Feb. 4, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Ganus officiating. Interment followed in Carolina Baptist Church cemetery, and Keahey Funeral Home directed.
Survivors include her brothers, Buddy Gunter and Grover Gunter, both of Andalusia; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

CORA LEE PHELPS PEEVY BUTLER
Cora Lee Phelps Peevy Butler, 94, died Feb. 1, 2013.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., on Mon., Feb. 4, in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery on Stanley Avenue.
She retired from Andala after 43 years. She had been married to B.L. Butler for the past 41 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Perry Leroy Peevy; her parents, John and Effie Phelps; her sisters, Jewel Lollie, Mayomie Smith and Sally Batson; and her brothers, Walter, Carson, Lonzie, Leamon and Arthur Phelps.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in law, Tom and Lucy Butler and Clyde and Elaine Butler; daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Wheeler Foshee III, Billy and Edgena Hassell, Mitchell Devone and Betty Kendrick, Jeanette and Pete Malwitz and Mary Jean Cox; her sister, Pearl P. Scott; 15 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

WILLIE C. TAYLOR
Willie C. Taylor, 58, of Mobile, died Tues., Jan. 29, 2013.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m., on Mon., Feb. 4, 2013, at the Kiwanis Community Center with the Rev. Henry May officiating and burial following at Marshall Memorial Cemetery in Andalusia.
A very loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, he served 20 years in the U.S. Army, where he received numerous medals and awards. He was a devoted member of the Delaware Street Missionary Baptist Church in Mobile, where he served as an usher under Pastor John Henry May.
Survivors include his wife, Mary C. Taylor of Mobile; his four children, Farina (Antonio) Lindsey of Lithia Springs, Ga., Oddesius (Lily) Perry of Brooklyn, N.Y., Jasmin (Rance) Cottingham of Douglasville, Ga., and Mikenda Early of Nashville, Tenn.; 11 brothers and sisters, Dorothy A. Barlow of Andalusia, Dallas R. (Sharla) Taylor of Saraland, Bernard D. Taylor of Tuscaloosa, Alphonso Taylor of Birmingham, and Edna Taylor, Brenda S. Anderson and Tracy M. (Linda) Taylor, all of Andalusia, Jennifer M. (Thomas) Taylor-Bryant of Norfolk, Va., and Theodore D. Taylor, Tina V. Taylor and Daphne C. Taylor, all of Andalusia; 22 grandchildren; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Anise Jackson, and a sister, Linda D. Pickett.

LORENE DEMOSS
Lorene DeMoss, 88, of Red Level, died Fri., Feb. 1, 2013, in an Opp nursing facility.
Funeral services were held on Mon., Feb. 4, 2013, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with minister Larry Turman officiating and interment following at Fairmount Cemetery. Special music was provided by the “South Boys” – Elbert Craig, J.C. Walden and Randy Walden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow DeMoss; a daughter, Betty DeMoss; and a son, Marvin Kervin.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy DeMoss Phillips (Eugene) of Brantley; grandchildren, Angie Spivey (Jeff) of Brantley and Stacie Baggett of Milton, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Garrett Goodson of Red Level, Beau Chandler Spivey and Jon Thomas Spivey of Brantley and Seabrin Blocker, Blayne Blocker, and Bryce Baggett, all of Milton, Fla.; a sister, Dolly Williams of Pensacola, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s research.
CYNTHIA BALLARD HARPER
Cynthia Ballard Harper, 52, of Andalusia, died on Jan. 31, 2013, at her residence.
Funeral services were held on Sun., Feb. 3, 2013, from the Foreman Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bobby Morgan and the Rev. Billy Boles officiating. Interment followed in the Harper Family Cemetery. Special music was provided by Rochelle Harper.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Harper of Andalusia; step-daughter, Stephanie Harper (Brad) Riney of Denton, Texas; three brothers, Jimmy (Valerie) Ballard, Allen Ballard and girlfriend Debbie Kilpatrick, and Harrison (Gayle) Hayes all of Andalusia; one step-grandchild, Tyce Riney; niece, Karma Carpenter; nephew, Trevor Hayes; and a sister-in-law, Iris Ballard of Andalusia.
She was preceded in death by her stepson, Robby Harper, and her parents, Virgil and Ethelyn Campbell.
Pallbearers were Jimbo Caton, Tommy Glisson, Sam Studstill, Rob Martin, Donald Hinson and Dale Glisson.
