Straughn’s girls were ranked No. 9 in Class 3A of the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s last basketball poll, which was released today.

The Lady Tigers improved to 27-2 after a 61-28 victory over Pleasant Home.

SHS hosts its Class 3A, Area 2 tournament on Friday.

Straughn’s boys were nominated, but weren’t ranked.

The Tigers sit at 18-5 going into the post season.
