An Andalusia man was arrested Tuesday night, charged with kidnapping, sodomizing and strangling his wife.

Courthouse records show the arrest stemmed from a March 2 verbal altercation between 43-year-old Cecil William Ainsworth and his wife, where he allegedly choked her and forced her to perform oral sex.

Records show that on Monday, the couple again argued, and he threatened to kill her in front of their two children. Records show Ainsworth allegedly forced her into a vehicle and drove her to three stores to purchase bullets for his gun and stated, “We would all die before the end of the night.”

Records show Ainsworth threatened to kill the victim several times, as well as the victim’s mother and father, then himself. Court records also showed the victim stated that, over the course of several hours Monday, she was able to calm Ainsworth down enough to travel to the Covington County Sheriff’s Office. There, she was able to seek help, and Ainsworth was taken into custody.

Covington County District Attorney’s Office investigators arrested Ainsworth on charges of domestic violence III, sodomy I, kidnapping I, and domestic violence by strangulation. He is being held in the Covington County Jail on a $133,000 cash bond.
