ALBERTA JOHNSON

Alberta Johnson, 105, of Andalusia, died Mon., March 25, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Fri., March 29, at noon from the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie James Curry officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Visitation will be tonight from 5-7 at Kirk Funeral Home.

She was a resident in Andalusia. She attended Troy High School. She was a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. She was the mother of the church and a faithful member until the day she passed. She loved the Lord and would talk about his wonderful works everyday. She loved her family. She was the last of her sisters and brothers alive.

Survivors include her daughter’s and son, Clemme (Clisby) Curry, Mary Woods and Travis Johnson, all of Andalusia; her son-in-law, Cecile Blue; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, totaling four generations, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
