Connie L. Roland, 74, of Slocomb, died Sat., March 30, 2013, at her residence.

WAYLAND ADAMS

Wayland Adams, 88, of Andalusia, passed away March 31, 2013, in a local nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., today, Wed., April 3, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Morgan officiating and burial following in the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery in Florala with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Adams; son and daughter-in-law, Wade (Bea) Adams; grandchildren, Derek Adams, Melysa (Keith) Bullard, Stacy (Diana) McCart, all of Andalusia, and Amy (Terrell) Smith, of Clio; great-grandchildren, Hailey Adams, Cameron Adams, Cheyenne Adams, Tra’ Bledsole, Brooke Russell and Lexy McCart; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Minnie Adams, and two sisters, Margie Fleming and Lillian Leonard.

JAMES ‘JAMIE’ CURRY

James “Jamie” Curry, 47, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., April 2, 2013, at his residence.

He was a very devoted father who loved fishing and playing golf.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Thurs., April 4, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Derwood Cleland officiating.

Survivors include his daughter, Abigail Curry of Andalusia; mother, Jean Curry of Antioch; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Suzanne Curry of Opp; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Lee Curry.

JIM WILLIAMS III

Jim Williams III, 78, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., April 2, 2013, in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Fri., April 5, at Coldwater Congregational Church with Keahey Funeral Home directing and Pastor Benji Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Coldwater Congregational Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia Williams of Andalusia; son and daughter-in-law, Ligon (Julie Ann) Williams of Pensacola, Fla.; daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret Williams of New Orleans, Susan (John) Lennon of Niceville, Fla., and Lila (John) Lind of High Point, N.C.; sister, Jean Jenwright of Birmingham; grandchildren, Sarah Lennon, Lizette Crosson, Joe Lennon, Luke Lennon, Juliet Lennon, Bethany Mendenhall, Joel Lind, Abigail Lind, Johnny Lind, Joy Williams and James Williams; and great-grandchildren, Dusty and Trevor Crosson.

OPAL POWELL COUCH

Opal Powell Couch, 89, Andalusia, passed away Fri., March 29, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services were held on Mon., April 1, at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Judson Blackston officiating and interment following in Enon Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bud” Couch; her sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Janice Couch of Moulton and Mike and Kim Couch of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Jason Couch, Martha Couch and Zack Couch; a great-grandchild, Ryder Toulmin; and one brother and sister-in-law, William Asa and Alice Powell of Andalusia

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Alan Couch, and a sister, Gertrude Powell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Comfort Care Hospice.
