Andalusia not ranked in this week’s poll

Andalusia was knocked off of the Class 4A Alabama Sports Writers Association baseball poll, which was released today.
AHS split with Brantley Tuesday night, losing 4-1 in game one, while winning game two, 4-3.
During spring break, the Bulldogs (19-8-1) finished the 2013 Pounder Invitational in Chattanooga, Tenn., 2-1-1.
AHS beat The Masters Academy, out of Oviedo, Fla., and tournament host Hixson High School, but lost to Cleveland, Tenn. The Bulldogs finished in a tie with Polk Co., Tenn.
In the Class 3A poll, Opp rose three spots to No. 6.
The Bobcats split with Rehobeth on Tuesday night, and improved to 17-4 on the season.
Florala, in Class 1A, was nominated, but not ranked.
In the softball poll, Opp (13-3) is still at No. 9 after defeating Andalusia 10-1 on Tuesday.
Pleasant Home (10-4) rose up to No. 2, and sits one spot below Kinston, who is 13-7.
