“Saddle up – dating is a long, hard ride, but it’s about to get down and dirty,” and with that motto, a Hollywood casting company is scouring the area for reality dating show stars.

Scott Hiller, casting director for Metal Flowers Media, told The Star-News Friday his company does casting for several series, seen on both prime time and major cable stations, for production companies and networks. It was recently hired to cast for a new southern dating series based out of Dothan, he said. The host matchmaker has been featured on two previous reality shows, he said.

“This is legit, and without disclosing too much, because networks always love to control their show’s marketing, I can say she plays matchmaker and works with two clients who go on three different dates each,” he said.

It’s Hiller’s job to find those “dates.”

“We’re looking for really fun, wild rowdy people who are not ashamed of showing off their Southern-ness,” he said. “We want them to actively do things like mud bogging, coon hunting, shooting some big guns and going on really fun dates.”

The flyer advertising for applicants, who should be their 20s, 30s and 40s, breaks it down event more.
